Get your gear ready and prepare for takeoff, as the fourth season of Dragonflight will be coming to us on April 23rd! Now that we know when to mark our calendars, let's get into the juicy details of what's to come!
WoW Dragonflight Season 4 - Dungeons and Updates
As always, Blizzard has listened to its players' input and addressed some of the issues people have encountered to improve their playing experience. So, what are those complaints, and how have they been addressed? Let's take a look!
Heroic Dungeons
It's not news to anyone that Heroic dungeons are too closely resembling their normal counterparts; this has made them somewhat irrelevant for players who have reached max level. So, to combat this and offer players a more diverse range of dungeon options, the difficulty and rewards for these encounters will move up to the current level of Mythic 0. Though you'll be glad to know these dungeons will remain available to queue using Group Finder. Item level requirements when queuing will also be raised accordingly.
Mythic 0 Dungeons
Similar to the Heroic dungeons, these encounters serve little relevance, as many users only use them during the M+ season and for the occasional weekly event quest. So, to ensure there are clear differences with dungeon encounters, the Mythic 0 difficulty, and rewards will move to Mythic 9-10 keystone levels. Many players will also be glad to know that these encounters will continue to have no timer.
Endgame M+ Dungeons
As you'll all be aware, the Endgame M+ dungeon-playing encounters are on a set timer, meaning they can often be stressful, and the pacing can just further add to that stress. So, to combat this, Endgame M+ encounters will pick up where Mythic 0 leaves off. This means that Mythic 5 in season 4 will be an estimated equivalent to the current Mythic 15 regarding difficulty, etc.

With the new season comes a new Mythic+ season, too, and we're here to break down what you can expect when everything enters Azeroth; let's take a look at the rewards, affixes, dungeon pools, and more:
Keystone Changes
Due to the introduction of the dungeon level squish, it's safe to say the Mythic+ keystone levels will act differently from that which we've seen in previous seasons. Below, we have listed some of the expected changes so you know exactly how to navigate this new season in WoW Dragonflight:
- Mythic+ system now has rewards up to level 10.
- A +2 in the new system will equate to roughly the same as a current +11 in the Mythic+ system. Following this theme, a +5 equates to +15, and a +10 equals a +20 (or thereabouts).
- Affixes will slot in at +2, +5 and +10.
- Dungeon ratings will be the same as those of the current system.
The idea behind these implementations is to offer players a more bountiful experience in which dungeon-queueing efforts are made more accessible and meaningful.
Dungeon Pool
In WoW Dragonflight season 4, the Mythic+ dungeon pool will see players having access to all dungeons that were introduced with the original Dragonflight expansion. We have listed all available dungeons below, so you don't need to be left wondering or face disappointment when the adventure begins:

- Brackenhide Hollow
- Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr
- Neltharus
- The Nokhud Offensive

Mythic+ Affixes
For this aspect of the update, it looks as though nothing will be changing, and players will be keeping the Affixes from season 3. In case you're in need of a refresh, take a look:
Affixes will slot in at +2, +5, and +10 (keystone levels); the below list titles the Affix at each leveling point:
- Level 2 - Tyrannical, Fortified
- Level 5 - Entangling, Afflicted, Incorporeal, Volcanic, Storming
- Level 10 - Spiteful, Raging, Bursting, Bolstering, Sanguine
WoW Dragonflight Season 4 - Mythic+ Seasonal Rewards
The rewards from this season are formatted similarly to those from past Mythic+ seasons; take a look below at the specifics:
Dragonflight Keystone Explorer (season 4) - Complete a Mythic+ dungeon in the allotted time during this season.
Dragonflight Keystone Conqueror (season 4) - Gain a Mythic+ rating of, or exceeding, 1500 during this season. This will reward you %s of the Draconic tile.
Dragonflight Keystone Master (season 4) - Gain a Mythic+ rating of, or exceeding, 2000 during this season. This will reward you with the Infinite Armoredon Mount.
There are additional rewards for completion of Mythic Keystones level 10 or above within the time limit assigned to each dungeon in WoW Dragonflight season 4; these rewards are portals to the entrance of the dungeons.
- The Azure Vault - rewards Path of Arcane Secrets
- Halls of Infusion - rewards Path of the Titanic Reservoir
- Neltharus - rewards Path of the Obsidian Hoard
- Algeth'ar Academy - rewards Path of the Draconic Diploma
- Legacy of Tyr - rewards Path of the Watcher's Legacy
- Brackenhide Hollow - rewards Path of the Rotting Woods
- Ruby Life Pools - rewards Path of the Clutch Defender
- The Nokhud Offensive - rewards Path of the Windswept Plains
WoW Dragonflight Season 4 Raids
In this segment of our WoW season 4 Dragonflight guide, we'll take a look at the upcoming changes and implementations to raids.
Awakened
Instead of introducing new raids for the season, players will be able to take on the season 3 raids at a greater difficulty, receive better loot, and use new raid Affixes that increase the difficulty of the raids. These will be titled 'Awakened Raids' and follow a similar format to the Shadowlands season 4 Fated raids. Check out the raid titles available below:
- Vault of Incarnates
- Aberrus, the Shadowed Crubicle
- Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope
Each week, there will be the 'weekly reset,' and one of the raids will be selected as the Awakened for the following seven days. It has yet to be confirmed whether or not the Awakened raids will have any Affixes, but as we all know, these updates are subject to change until the very last moment before release.
Item level drops are also a factor in WoW Dragonflight season 4 raids, as Awakened raids are scaled to a higher difficulty than other raids in the Dragonflight expansion, so it's a given the items will follow suit. Similarly to the previous difficulties of raids, the final boss in each encounter will drop items that have an increased item level. Take a look at the Awakened raid item levels below:
- Raid Finder - 480 | 489
- Normal - 493 | 502
- Heroic - 506 | 515
- Mythic - 519 | 528
These item upgrades will include some fan favorites that are sure to bring a smile to any WoW player's face, with Nasz'uro the Unbound Legacy and Fyr'alath the Dreamrender. There will also be an upgrade item to be introduced in season 4, allowing users to upgrade their respective legendary to 502 item level. You will then be able to carry your item level even higher with the use of Crests and Flightstones, so those previously acquired legendaries can be put to use in season 4!
Awakened Raid Vendors
Blizzard has confirmed the introduction of a Dinar-type currency system that will be appearing in season 4, similar to that of the Shadowlands season 4 bad-luck protection. This was titled the Puzzling Cartel Dinar, and the same system idea applies to the now-titled Antique Bronze Bullion. In addition to the bad-luck negation of Antique Bronze Bullion, players can also acquire Awakened Tempostone. This new Tier Omni-Token is dropped by raid bosses at the end of their battle. Antique Bronze Bullions
It's yet to be stated how this currency will be acquired, but we do know you can use it to purchase trinkets, weapons, cosmetic items, and other WoW Dragonflight Season 4 gear. There are four vendors in the Parting Glass on the east side of Valdrakken, and three of them are exclusive to one of the Dragonflight raids, while the fourth will sell cosmetic weapon appearances.
Awakened Tempstone
We know these are obtained from final-stage raid boss drops, but what can they be spent on? Once you have your Awakened Tempstone, you can then purchase Tier set armor from Runaagos, the Neurotic Novelist in the Parting Glass on the eastern side of Valdrakken. The difficulty of the raid in which you obtained the Tempstone will influence the item level and upgrade you can afford.
Awakened Raid Special Rewards
To stay in the theme of the special season, WoW season 4 in Dragonflight, you'll be glad to know that there are three special rewards for the completion of Awakened difficulty raids. You will receive these meta achievements by completing all three raids while in Awakened mode. Here's what is up for grabs:
- The Voyaging Wilderling Mout
- Awakened Hero Title
- Dragonflight Raid Teleports

Since there are new raids in WoW Dragonflight season 4, there are no new cutting-edge achievements per se. However, there are some new achievements for the completion of Awakened raids in their different difficulties. WoW Dragonflight Season 4 - PvP Rewards
With new PvP encounters come new rewards! So, let's check out the new mounts, achievements, and titles that are up for grabs:
- Vicious Dreamtalon Mount - gained by winning rated PvP encounters at 1000 rating or higher.
- Draconic Gladiator Drake - gained through being in the top 0.1% of the 3v3 arena ladder at the end of the season. (150 games must be won)
- Draconic Gladiator Title - gained through being in the top 0.1% of the 3v3 arena ladder at the end of the season. (150 games must be won)
- Draconic Legend Title - must be in the top 0.1% of the Solo Shuffle ladder by the end of the season. (50 games must be won)
