Valorant has quickly amassed a huge following as well as respect in the gaming industry with innovative game mechanics and unique user experience. The game features regular patch updates, boosting its quality of life. All of this is made possible thanks to the feature that allows players to experience the behind-the-scenes point of view, which helps in optimizing the game and contributes to making it attractive for players.
PBE allows players to try out the newest content releases before being added to live servers. Players are tasked to play the game and experience never-before-seen content while keeping in mind their good and bad sides. Player feedback is of high value here, as it helps developers to focus their efforts on pressing matters first.

Valorant PBE Guide: Everything you need to know
Public Beta Environment, long for PBE, is a server similar to the live ones, that offers an opportunity to test new features, Agents, and other game functionalities before they are or are not added to the game. It is a sandbox-type server, hosted in North America where the most of developers are situated. This means that players chosen for PBE are from NA, as this allows the developers to quickly act upon their reports on the game.
Anyone can download and install the special PBE Valorant client, however, this does not grant you access to the server. Riot Games, hand-picks players based on their region and if they had any reports in the past. To access the PBE server, you will have to use your Valorant account, meaning should you get banned on either account, your other account will suffer as well.

Valorant PBE Guide: FAQs
Why is PBE only in North America?
The majority of developers are from NA as this helps to quickly react to feedback and implement the necessary updates frequently. Having North America players experimenting with PBE content allows Riot to gather useful data in a timely manner. Riot has plans to establish PBE Valorant servers in other regions as a long-term goal, however, it is currently restricted by cost, logistics, etc.
How often does Riot accept new PBE members?
There is no schedule as to when exactly Riot looks to recruit new PBE members. Generally, each patch is an opportunity to gain access to PBE, until they say it is enough; the server can support only so many players.
Are there any other requirements to gain access?
Apart from having to be a North America player with a good reputation, Riot sometimes takes into consideration hardware, player rank, and how often players actually play the game.
How to stay in the loop?
Valorant has its subreddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantPBE/) with plans and announcements regarding the PBE Valorant server. Moreover, players are encouraged to post bugs they encounter when playing.
Why is PBE unavailable?
There are a couple of reasons why PBE might be down, the first one is obvious; you do not have access. Furthermore, the server may be under maintenance or you are trying to gain access when it is not supposed to be available. As you can see, PBE is only active one weekend per patch. Click here to check the PBE schedule.
Players can lose their PBE rights due to bad behavior or if they have not been active. In this case, they have to apply again.
I gained access, now what do I do?
As a PBE Valorant member, your responsibility should be to play the game in a critical manner; trying to look for bugs, errors, and imbalances and give feedback to the developers. Reports can be made in the PBE Valorant Subreddit. If there is already a report made, just comment on it rather than creating a new thread.
Valorant PBE Guide: 5.01 Patch notes Valorant PBE
With the most recent patch hitting live servers, players on PBE had to test out a plethora of novelties beforehand; a new map Pearl was introduced to the game as well as the improved Ranking system. Furthermore, new quality-of-life changes have been applied to unpopular Agents: Phoenix, KAY/O, and Yoru.
Phoenix
Phohttps://valorant.fandom.com/wiki/Phoenixenix has been altered to suit a more aggressive playstyle, meaning Curveball is now a lot more effective. As an ability on which his whole kit depends, Curveball has got to step up to complement the kit. Run It Back and Blaze also received minor improvements to better adapt to this change. These should make Phoenix a devastating addition to any team, especially the health and shield buff on Run It Back.
KAY/O
Warmachine has finally received the attention he deserves; Riot has buffed his FRAG/ment and NULL/cmd abilities to make him more reliable and deceiving. FRAG/ment now deals damage regardless of line of sight and the damage zone radius has been corrected to match the actual effective radius. NULL/cmd is stealthier now; only allies can hear the channeling audio when reviving. Enemies will only hear a short sound similar to defuse. This allows teammates to bait enemies into thinking KAY/O is being revived, allowing for a devastating ambush.
Yoru
Yoru has been turned into a showman, with the buffed Dimensional Drift. Increased mobility helps do sick outplays like the ones seen on YouTube. Yoru is now a very decent Duelist option for any situation, especially now that Dimensional Drift lasts longer and has a much shorter unequip time, offering the potential for more effective flash plays.
PBE Valorant players definitely had their hands full with these changes, but from what we can see in-game, they have done their job.
