Osseous Requirements RS3
Just like every other quest we cover, we'll break down the requirements to take on this adventure. Take a look below at what you'll need for this adventure:

There are no enemies on the horizon with this adventure, so you can relax and enjoy the lore of this quest. Now that we know what's needed to get the adventure underway let's get onto the walkthrough of RS3 Osseous Rex!
Osseous Rex RS3 - The Adventure Starts Here
Start the RS3 Osseous Rex quest by speaking with the 'Calm' Archaeologist at the Anachronia base camp to begin the adventure. He will ask you to assist him with an unreal discovery at the Rex Matriarch lair; agree to help him and then teleport to the location in the Spirit Grove. From here, you'll then need to teleport again using the teleportation device to gain access to the Rex Matriarch lair.
Once inside, your next Osseous Rex RS3 task is to speak with the 'Calm' Archaeologist once more. He will explain how the Ancient Artifacts must be activated, so it becomes your job. So, let's take a look at how to do just that:
Activating the Ancient Artifacts
Activate the first Ancient Artifact (northwest of the 'Calm' Archaeologist.) This will open the gate to his southwest. You must then turn east towards the Rex Matriarch entrance and then run north before following the path back west.
For the second Ancient Artifact, there will be a gate to pass through (to the southwest of the Archaeologist). Make your way east through this gate and activate the second Artifact to unlock another nearby gate. After activating both Ancient Artifacts, enter the gate to the upper ledge on the eastern wall and find the Crystalised Rubble.
Crystal Excavation in Osseous Rex RS3
At the Crystalised Rubble, begin excavating, and you will uncover a Teleportation Crystal (damaged), which appears to have been turned inside out in a terrible teleportation accident. If you're short on orthenglass, continue to mine until you have the necessary 20 pieces.
Teleportation Restoration
With the damaged crystal and 20 orthenglass, make your way to an Archaeologist’s Workbench and restore the Teleportation Crystal. After you do so, return to the Rex Matriarch lair, and you'll find that the 'Calm' Archaeologist has left the Anachronia base camp (no teleportation ride for him!).
From here, you must head to the War's Retreat and use the Fateful portal. This portal, when entered, will take the player to the boss they are currently associated with on their quest, a seasonal event, or the most recent boss release at the time. So, in this case, right back to the Spirit Grove.
Lastly, in RS3 Osseous Rex, you need to speak once more with the 'Calm' Archaeologist in the Rex Matriarch lair, which will trigger a cutscene. Watch what unfolds and the quest will come to an end. Congratulations, you just completed the RS3 Osseous Rex quest! Let's check out those rewards.
